Back In the late 1800's after moving from Radford England my Great Grandfather John Mills purchased land on the fertile Wairau Plains. He soon cleared the land, developed a farm, and named it "Radford". He raised sheep and cows, grew barley for feed, and wheat for flour. He also established a Thrashing Company to mill the wheat and Barley. It operated successfully for many years supplying the local bakery and brewer trades.

The wheat and barley have long since gone, now replaced with World renowned Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. 125 years later my grandson, Thomas now helps on Radford Property..

Sometimes in life we trip over a link to our past. With Covid lock down in 2020, the opportunity arose to take over a small wholesale family bakery operating on our Radford Property. To be competitive we looked for new opportunities in the bakery industry and I was drawn to a revolutionary new wheat variety with extremely high levels of Dietary Fibre.
I immediately saw the heath benefits and potential and purchased the rights. This was the start of HiFi Foods
